International Datacasting Corporation Announces Appointment of James W. Hall as Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee and Names Cory Garbolinsky Acting Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary

Ottawa, ON – August 10, 2010 – – International Datacasting Corporation, (TSX: IDC), a global leader in providing IP-based datacasting solutions for the distribution of broadband multimedia content, announced today the appointment of James W. Hall to the Board of Directors. Mr. Hall was also named Chairman of the Audit Committee replacing Adam E. Adamou in that role.

Adamou, Executive Chairman of International Datacasting Corporation. “His experience and independence will serve our shareholders well, and we look forward to working with him”.
IDC also announces the promotion of Cory Garbolinsky to Vice President, Finance and Acting Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. “Cory has consistently demonstrated an ability and willingness to take on new challenges. He was the obvious choice to fulfill his new expanding role and assist in bringing increased financial discipline to IDC”, said Frederick Godard, President & CEO of International Datacasting Corporation. Mr. Garbolinsky was previously Director of Finance at IDC responsible for external financial reporting and internal controls. Previously he served as Manager of General Accounting for North America at
Alcatel-Lucent (ENXTPA: ALU) and as Chief Financial Officer at CCS Group Ltd. Mr. Garbolinsky is a Chartered Accountant and is a graduate of the University of Manitoba where he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Mr. Hall is President & CEO of JAMES HALL ADVISORS INC. (“JHA”), which provides financial and management advice and guidance to venture stage companies. Prior to founding JHA, Mr. Hall was with Journal Register Company (“JRC”) as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer where he led the Philadelphia-based company through a complete reorganization of operations and consensual capital restructuring which ended with JRC emerging from bankruptcy in August 2009. He served as Senior Vice President & Chief Investment Officer of Working Ventures Canadian Fund Inc. from 1990 to 2002. After beginning his career as a Chartered Accountant, Mr. Hall subsequently held senior positions at Citicorp and Lloyds Bank Canada.
Mr. Hall is a director of Indigo Books & Music Inc. (TSX: IDG) where he serves as Chairman of the Compensation and Human Resources Committees and as a member of the Audit and Corporate Governance Committees. Mr. Hall is a member of the Board of ImmunoVaccine Inc. (TSX-V: IMV) where he serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Hall is a director of Adventus Intellectual Property Inc. and is a trustee of OMERS Trust and Global Credit Pref Corp. A Chartered Accountant, Mr. Hall is a graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business and is a Council member of Ivey’s Institute for Entrepreneurship
