Leader in Multimedia Distribution to Market and Distribute Irdeto's Content Security Solutions

Gaylord, Texas – November 6, 2006 – – Irdeto, the proven expert in content security for digital TV, IPTV and mobile TV, today announced that it has entered into a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with international Datacasting Corporation (TSX:IDC), a world leader in products and systems for IPTV and VOD via satellite.

Under this agreement, International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) will be granted a nonexclusive license to market and distribute Irdeto's content security solutions for DVB, PVR and IPTV to customers worldwide. Irdeto, a subsidiary of multinational media group Naspers (NASDAQ: NPSN and JSE: NPN), protects its customers' revenue streams with a full line of products based on nearly 40 years of experience in broadcast technology, pay TV and content protection solutions.

"We're in the business of delivering mission-critical data and multimedia quickly, reliably and cost effectively. Our customers trust us to bring them the most secure products available in the marketplace," said Ron Clifton, president and CEO of IDC. "We have been working with Irdeto for years and they offer an ideal enterprise-grade solution."

• Irdeto delivered the world's first DVB content security solution in 1995 and has since been chosen by more than 300 carriers worldwide, making it one of the most widely deployed solutions in the marketplace.

• The Irdeto IPTV content security solution is based on the company's proven technology for securely encrypting video content for transport via IP networks. Irdeto's software-based solution, SoftClient, protects broadcast, on-demand and PVR content over IP networks. The solution is integrated with a variety of industry-leading set top boxes, VOD servers and middleware solutions.

"Our DVB-S/S2 products work beautifully with Irdeto Digital TV and IPTV conditional access systems," says Gary Carter, IDC's chief technology officer. "This seamless integration is critical for our customers in IPTV, digital cinema, VOD, BTV, distance learning/training, and more."

"IDC has been at the forefront of digital information technology for more than 20 years," said Nick Wrinch, director of global partnerships & alliances for Irdeto. "Their industry leadership, commitment to security and worldwide client base make them an ideal partner for Irdeto."
