International Datacasting Names Satellite Industry Executive as New Vice President Sales & Marketing

Ottawa, ON – September 29, 2006 – – International Datacasting Corporation (TSX: IDC), a world leader in multimedia data distribution, today announced it has named Edward DiCarlo as Vice President, Sales & Marketing. In this role, Mr. DiCarlo will oversee the sales, marketing and new product/service development for IDC worldwide.

Mr. DiCarlo is a senior level sales and marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience in the satellite and telecommunications industry. Mr. DiCarlo has served in various senior level positions at Loral Skynet and Loral CyberStar, including: Vice President General Manager Marketing & Product Management, Vice President General Manager for Latin America and Vice President Europe. In these roles he was instrumental in opening and operating sales regions, closing acquisitions, and developing a suite of satellite-based IP and managed data network products. Prior to joining Loral, he was the Director of Marketing for CBS (Westinghouse) where he was responsible for domestic and international marketing and sales of satellite networks, as well as strategic alliances. DiCarlo has also served as a senior consultant to several satellite product and services companies, where he provided sales, marketing and business development strategies for improving revenues.

Mr. DiCarlo has an engineering degree from Capitol College and an MBA from the University of Baltimore. He has also participated in the Executive Education program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in the Washington DC area.
